About Us
BPC was born out of love for community and creativity. Art is such a powerful tool for discovery and connection, to both the self and others, and we believe it should be accessible to everyone. What started out as as an at-home supper club where friends met to make art and eat well, evolved into a growing community.
The name comes from the Spanish expression that has no direct translation to English, but is used to wish someone enjoys their meal. For me, the sentiment goes deeper, and I named it BPC to carry this energy of a deep desire for people to be present, enjoy the moment, connect profoundly with others, themselves, and the sensory world around them.
We believe creativity, community and connection are the most important tools to forge a sustainable and equitable future filled with joy.
We are a Miami-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on a mission to make art accessible to everyone, to provide platforms for local artists, and to foster a genuine and resilient community.
We organize workshops and events to promote creative practices and highlight local creatives across disciplines; visual artists, photographers, musicians, chefs, and more. We partner with local organizations and businesses to bring diverse experiences that promote our three pillars: creativity, community, and connection.
Understanding the sustainability, resilience and joy of our communities is inextricably linked to our environment, we also offer programs designed to promote environmental education through art.
And if we can do it in a joyful way, and eating good as we go along, all the better. Come hang sometime!
